All right . . . I know all of you are anxious about the WINNER of the GIVEAWAY! But first things come first. Right now I have an incredible young woman to introduce you to, my dear friend who helped make this giveaway possible.
Readers, meet Katlyn Hanna. She’s going to tell you a little bit about herself:

My name is Katlyn Grace, author of Rosepetalsandfaith. I’m a dreamer from a small town in West Virginia. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and Him dying so that everyone could live. I’m quite a lover of photography; I like to capture life’s moments and treasure them for life. I’m also into makeup, fashion, home cooking and baking. I love to try something new every once and a while. But something I have come to love is giving advice to others and sharing the love of Christ. I love being able to sit down with a cup of coffee and write something that I would like to think would help someone along life’s way. It’s neat to think of it that way. You’re my friend, and I warmly welcome you along on this journey! The point of my blog, Rosepetalsandfaith, is to help inspire anyone from kids to teens to adults. My personal message and what I hope everyone knows is that they’re beautiful, that they have a purpose on this earth. I want everyone to know that they are uniquely created by an amazing God.

Now that we’re all properly acquainted, let’s get started with the interview.

Katlyn Grace, I am so excited to have you on the blog today! You can only image my excitement when I realized that another Christian author, blogger, and photographer lives in the same county as me! Small world, is it not? So I have a few questions for you, Katlyn. Here we go!

Question: I love your blog (rosepetalsandfaith.weebly.com). Can you tell us what inspired such a cute name?

Answer: Thank you so much! For Christmas in 2016 I received a laptop. I loved the idea of starting a blog with it! I remember going to my mom with the idea. I wanted a name that would portray my faith, but at the same time portray girly things as well. That’s when my mom came up with Rosepetalsandfaith. From then, it has always stuck. I think Rosepetalsandfaith suits my blog well. I could not imagine it being anything else!

Question: When did you first discover your calling to be a writer? What was your initial reaction?

Answer: I believe I was in either 10th or 11th grade. I remember reading The O’Malley Series by Dee Henderson (which I highly suggest!) and something just sparked in me. I had never read a book, let alone series, that had spiritually moved me like that. I suddenly started having strong feelings for the idea of writing a book. I wanted (still do) to be able to inspire and help others in the way that Henderson had for me. I remember loving my creative writing assignments, and I still do. I started asking God to give me something, because I had no clue how I could write a book. I did not feel like I could even come up with a plot. I was definitely shocked at my sudden urge to be a writer. A few weeks passed, and God laid in my lap three different books for a series. I was overwhelmed. Of course, like all of us do, I wanted to be sure it was God’s will. I started praying about it and sure enough, God started showing me all kinds of signs. I pray I can follow through with the Lord’s will!

Question: Do you find more enjoyment in writing your own book, or reading someone else’s?

Answer: This is a tough one. I have an addiction to reading other’s books, haha! Although, I’d have to say, I love creating my own book. Sometimes other’s books can disappoint you and let you down, so I love coming up with my own ideas, if that makes sense. I still love reading, though. Haha!

Question: Describe your writing process. Do you feel more comfortable with a detailed outline, or do you enjoy letting your imagination work as you go?

Answer: I like to have a general idea of my story plot. Most of the time I know the beginning and the end. I do give myself room for new ideas and things that might inspire me along the way.

Question: Can you share a little bit about your faith?

Answer: I have been raised in a Christian home my entire life. I thank God for that. I was young when I gave my heart to God, but when I got to be around the age of 13-14, I realized that faith was not just a one-way street. That is when I started truly placing my faith and trust in God. I started to live for Him and share Him with others. It became a relationship.

Question: What are your other favorite hobbies?

Answer: I love photography! Being able to capture life’s little moments not only for me, but for others is so special. I love to play the piano. I also love working on do it yourself projects, things like water coloring, painting, and building fun little projects are always entertaining!

Question: Easy one. Coffee or tea?

Answer: Coffee for sure! Caramel Macchiatos with extra caramel drizzle are your girl’s weakness! Although, I love tea, I normally only drink it hot in the winter.

Thank you so much, Katlyn, for answering all of the questions! You are truly an amazing young woman, with a future as bright as the sun. The sky is your limit!

Now, cross your fingers before you stroll down. I’m getting ready to announce the winner. I’m reaching into the basket, pulling out a piece of paper, unfolding it, reading it, and it’s . . .
